Several weeks ago I heard a female Rep. commentator say Lott is p.o'd because the pubies made him step down from his leadership position and has been causing trouble ever since.
He's lucky he still has a job in the senate
Wouldn't surprise me at all.... the thing is, Trent, you were an equally worthless troublemaker back when you were supposedly working FOR the Republicans as Majority Leader. I'm glad it's been cleared up that you're working against them now, because frankly, Trent, I haven't been able to tell the difference.
Mississippi, if this guy doesn't retire in '06, then please find a good primary challenger to run against him. Lott outlived his usefulness many, many years ago.

I think you hit the nail right on the head.
It appears to me that Senator Lott is still very bitter towards many in the Administration for the whole Strom Thurmond comment fiasco a couple years back. I think he still has an axe to grind with President Bush, Vice President Cheney, Senator Frist, Karl Rove, and others.
I can easily see Lott not running for re-election in 2006.
I would think Congressman Pickering or Governor Barbour as the logical replacements.
