Here is a tip for you: if you marry someone who you love, and excites you when you are young, the person you married will still excite you when you are old.

The Bible mentions this, sorry I can't remember the verse, something like "cleave to the wife you have when you are young."

It's true that when you are "middle aged crazy" you may not be turned on by your spouse -- this advice works for young people and old people, but middle aged people are a different world.

If you want to be one of those people who still loves the person you married even when you are old -- marry young, marry someone you love, marry someone who turns you on. And stick with it, and never stray.

AHEM! What to say? Let's cut through the Bull. If you had a good relationship with Mom, your odds of having a happy marriage are pretty good.

If, OTOH, your Mom was an abusive paranoid psychotic, you're better off in the priesthood....because you will somehow keep finding...."the old model".

Yes, there are some who break this pattern. But they are the exception.

As for me, let me try to pen something (semi)original:

'A man needs a woman like the condemned need a noose'....

Not very optimistic, just realistic. If you become aware of your limitations early enough, and get a control over your hormones, you might turn out alright. If not, you're scr....well, YOU KNOW...

If you were friends when you first married, you will always be friends.
