Al-Qaida supporters detained in Saudi Arabia have appeared in a television documentary about al-Haer jail, 25 miles south of the Saudi capital, Riyadh, and delivered rave reviews of life inside.
"I swear to God, they [the jailers] are nicer than our parents," said Othman al-Amri, once No 21 on the kingdom's list of most-wanted terror suspects.
The programme, broadcast on Saudi television late on Monday, included brief footage from inside the jail, showing clean facilities and beds lined next to one another.
It signalled a new effort by the authorities to encourage militants to give themselves up and to allay suspicions that they would be ill treated if they did so. But persuading them to opt for al-Haer may prove difficult.

Well, the story is from "The Guardian". Makes sense now.
Yeah ... and would al-Qaida nutjobs say, "I swear to God ..."?
What you don't see is the machine guns aiming off camera and the cue cards.
Or the electrodes on their nuts.
LMAO!
I have a feeling it is more like the "previous winners" in the movie Running Man. Where they are shown alive enjoying a sunny retirement, but actually dead. I doubt that this guy is having a good time in prison now that he has made the film.
The best POW camps would be Holiday Inns with barbed wire around them. Pool, A/C, drinks, TV, restaurant (no gym, though). Make it easy to surrender.
I wasn't sure where to go on my next vacation, but after reading this there's no question. I am going to Saudia Arabia, I will hold up the first liquor store I see, oh that's right, liquor is illegal there, then the first Camal rental place. Then I will surrender to the police, go up on trial and ask to be sentenced to prison. Hopefully they won't cut off my right hand, which is common punishment for thieves who are caught in the glorious Kingdom. Then I would have spend my vacation in prison wiping my butt with my left hand which would be quite a challenge.
