A SUSPECTED MEMBER OF THE AL-QAEDA WAS ARRESTED IN GREECE

A suspected member of the al-Qaeda terrorist network was arrested a few days ago in Greece on slave trade charges, according to the Athens television station “Alpha” citing statements by Shiite Muslims living in Athens.

According to unconfirmed information, the suspect is a Taliban and is accused of killing 19 people in Pakistan, while he was trained in Afghanistan.

The Greek Police has launched an investigation to determine the suspect's identity. The authorities do not confirm any information before the necessary investigation is completed.

In statements made to “Alpha” television station, Greek government spokesman Christos Protopapas did not confirm that the suspect in the hands of the Greek Police is a member of al-Qaeda, adding that it is a serious case and an investigation is underway.
