Well, without the competition, EA won't be pressed to make a better NFL game, but I will say they already dominated the market. However, they have done a good job in trying to make the game better every year, but competition from a serious company would have been good/

I have heard EA has a bunch of ready to go enhancements lined up but only allow a few enhancements each release to make it better. Like the Playmaker feature was ready to go back in 1997-98 but only recently added to make it more marketable. Other features i heard EA is holding back are:

WR finding soft zone spots
Offensive line zone pass protections


THis is all hearsay but from what I heard how EA runs their shop (dirty and unfair to employees), it doesnt suprise me.
