Republican state rep `strongly considering' run for governor
LANSING, Mich. A one-term Republican state representative says he's "strongly considering" running against Governor Granholm in 2006.
Representative Jack Hoogendyk (HOHG'-in-dyk) says Granholm isn't taking care of a number of problems facing the state.
The 49-year-old Kalamazoo resident says the governor doesn't seem willing or able to address the issues of economic development.
Michigan's unemployment rate improved slightly in October. But the state still has one of the worst jobless rates in the nation.
Since he got elected to the state House in 2002, Hoogendyk has become known as a conservative on budget and social issues.
Granholm has continued to enjoy high approval ratings since she won the governor's office two years ago
Then again, Engler wasn't supposed to win either.
What about ted nugent?
Isn't Granholm running for president once the Arnold Ammendment comes down?
He's great for what he does, but there's no chance he'd win because of his mouth. He'd be the GOP's version of Geoffrey Fieger.
If it passes, I think so. I think she could win too.
"If it passes, I think so. I think she could win too."
There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY the people of this country that live in the red states will allow the Constitution to be amended so that the likes of that scurrilous, abortion-loving, gay-marriage-supporting, Berzerkly and Harvahd grad, Wayne County crony, Canuckistan-born, scum-bag scalawag skunkette "Reparations" Granholm could run for President.
