Every single lawyer in this country goes through a character and fitness examination at some point in their bar admission - this "sensitivity" training falls right in line with the fact that you don't have obvious personal characteristics and history that would make you a poor representative of the bar.

Not too Kremlinesque - he is in a position of public trust -hypothetically, if you are a black man going in front of this judge on the Monday after the Saturday night party at which he and his wife went to a costume party as a police officer and an arrested black man or suspect, wouldn't you have cause to pause?
