If he cut the tip off then I feel sorry for the kid. It's supposed to be the skin around the tip that's cut.

OYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! I don`t know why they do this anyway. They say it`s for "cleanliness" which to me is BS. If someone gets an infection down ther because they have that extra skin, then either they haven`t bathed in 10 years or they had sex with Madonna or Paris Hilton. It`s completely ridiculous why that of all things has to come off, especially when you`re a baby.

I`m a Christian and my parents got me circumcised, but I never asked them if a Rabbi did it or a doctor. Either way, if I had a choice I wouldn`t have wanted it done in a million years, no way. This butchering of males *must* be ended as common practice in American hospitals. Too many mothers fall prey to urban legends that a penis with foreskin intact somehow can't be kept clean and devoid of infection.
This is not the first time this has happened, under *identical* circumsatances - and the outcome has been even *worse* on prior occasions (yes, it's possible).
actually saw a young baby have a terrible consequence after a neighboring hospital LEFT THE CLAMP ON TOO LONG and the baby's penis turned black....the baby was very sick for a long time and I really never learned exactly what became of him....
To the family? Shouldn't this go to the boy? I wonder if he will get anything more than counseling. Should medicine eventually develope a real treatment for this, the money needs to be there for him.
Poor kid. But the parents will never get a penny out of this mohel, for he works in an industry where the pay is terrible and they work only for tips.
