The great victory by the US in the VC Tet offensive was reported as a U.S. disaster by the likes of Walter Cronkite, for instance. The U.S. left Vietnam from the Saigon embassy rooftop, and the dominos really did fall after that. I don't say we should have gone in the first place to pick up the French pieces, but Kennedy and Johnson kept building up our presence there.
MSM have their agenda, but the times are different and their news reporting is much more easily monitored.
What hacks me off is the Left couldn't really give a damn about our troops, they say they do but they really see them as redneck ber swilling baby-killers. They adopt a cause and any will do, whatever is 'IN" because it makes them feel good. They are usually low on self esteem and easily swayed by peers. Older LLL's just want some cause to stop the boredom of the dull life they find themselves in from years of self-deprivation (i.e meat cigs etc) and a relationship that bores them to tears. They are the ones you see standing behind someone (waving)who is being interviewed live on Fox& Friends etc and are usually pretending to be on the phone to someone. I could throttle them all quite easily.
