The guy withdrew his nomination because he knew he had some background static. So why do people have to continue to smear his name with the attacks?

In NY – I suspect this was widely trafficked sotto voce, and I’m sure that Hillary Clinton and Chuckie Schumer knew – but figured that it was better to have him position so her could supply excess pork to the Big Apple. And if he wasn’t going to be cooperative? You get the picture.
I agree that he should have withdrawn (…the appointment/nomination, that is). But the true hypocrisy is not so much what he may have done – but those with whom it was perfectly fine as long as it was not publicly known.
And Kerry still hasn't signed a Standard Form 180.
