We used to get Bravo but the cable co replaced it with Sci Fi, for which I was glad,
but, I did want to watch this Christmas special...it sounded neat. glad I missed it now.
I watch PAX, Hallmark, HGTV, The Animal Planet, TLC, EWTN and Fox. My husband watches the Weather station and the western station. We got tired of trying to watch things that actually embarrassed us.
P.S. Wondering how long it will be before certain people arrive. These are people who take the trouble to come on EVERY thread about television to proudly announce they don't have a television.
Why can't people just quietly not have a television?????
DON'T BLOCK MTV! I watch Beavis and Butt-head to see what the Democratic party is going to look like in 20 years...
I am imagining what ultra-left bent must mean. Bravo, though I never watch it, friends say is an arts network. If they were showing the reality behind the broadcast networks' religious "specials" I would think it might be interesting. If the networks' only interest is in the almighty dollar then perhaps these "specials" should be viewed in another light.
As for ultra-left, I view that as somewhere beyond Stalin's evilness and hardly fit for American television. I would prefer that we speak in terms of candor but not hate or extreme exaggeration. We might develop much further as a nation.
Saw it too - talk about mean-spirited - the worst was some never-heard-of gay complaining that the women in the King family used to have big hair on their Christams specials - real trash TV.....
The more they slap Christians and Christmas around, the more we are gonna vote, and we have kids coming up also that know the score despite all their best Marxist efforts in the public schools.
These are best watched during the dog days of summer --- helps me cool off just a little bit.
Yeah, whatever. I call them as I see them, and I've seen enough in my years. I don't need to analyze nor "dialogue" about it. I know the type all too well.
Keep watching; you'll eventually catch on. Nice sentiment, though.
That was THE best "A Christmas Carol" ever produced, IMO. Alastair Sim was fantastic. And they didn't whitewash the Christian aspect of the story; that Jesus is the true spirit of the day every day, and men find him in their hearts as well.
Poor plan. You have to enter in the code you don't know to block channels in the future, only you've fixed it where you can't block channels, because you don't know the code.
"Poor plan. You have to enter in the code you don't know to block channels in the future, only you've fixed it where you can't block channels, because you don't know the code."
????
You have to enter a code for every channel on mine. Each channel can have a different code. Maybe it is just my parental control system that can do this.
Sounds like a friendly neighbor could correct this problem though. Let them make up and keep the code.
Ah, mine is much different there is a single code, and you must enter it to access any parental control functions. If I wanted to add a new channel or a single movie for example, I would have to enter that code.
Why would you need to keep the code from YOURSELF? I mean, I can understand keeping it from your children, or your wife if she's getting some kooky liberal ideas, but why the cover-your-eyes/have-a-neighbor-do-it approach? Are you so afraid of your own weakness that you have to "trick" yourself? Not a good sign for the conservative movement.
You replied to the wrong guy.
I suppose I should have directed the comment to "Peace Will Be Here Soon" but you were both discussing the various techniques one can use to block out certain channels without knowing the code... Can't both of you read this reply or does it only go to "Melas"? I ask because I'm new to these message boards.
And is there significance in "Melas" being "Salem" backwards?
So write to them and tell them how much you hated it.
I don't get Bravo, but it is one I warned my daughter about - they have Dish network. Somewhere on FR(?), it was mentioned as the gay network. I only watch Fox News, and 2 or 3 programs on nbc (my soap, Crossing Jordan, and Third Watch).
When you want another person to see the reply, use their name and seperate it with a semi-colon in the too box.
And is there significance in "Melas" being "Salem" backwards?
Yes, I smoked Salem cigarettes for most of my adult life, and a pack of Salem's was on my desk when I created my screenname.
