Sadly, I believe you are absolutely correct here.
The truth about our "inherent freedoms" is that they may be given to us by God, but only we the people can make sure that our governments continue to recognize these freedoms.
It looks like Britain is beginning to ignore the liberties of it's citizens to appease the feelings of a few, and full-scale political repression is creeping a little closer to their shores. Damn Labour for this--in every way you can damn a man.
