I remember reading somewhere - The Book of Lists, I believe - that Adolf's favorite film was King Kong.

King Kong also just happened to be release the year Adolf's gained power (1933).

I don't know if it was his favorite, but Hitler reportedly really liked "The Lives of a Bengal Lancer" (1935) starring Gary Cooper. Apparently, the portrayal of the Bengal Lancers gave him ideas that were later incorporated in the training of the Waffen SS.
