HIP-HOP FLOPS
New York Post ^ | 12/14/04 | SUZANNE KAPNER

A shakeout is afoot in the world of urban apparel, as sales of once red-hot labels begin to cool, analysts and industry executives said.

The across-the-board slowdown is alarming some of the major department-store retailers that had allocated a growing amount of space to these brands on the belief that the double-digit sales growth of recent years would continue, sources said.

Federated Department Stores, which operates the Macy's and Bloomingdale's chains, for instance, is seeing recent sales of urban brands decline in the double digits, compared with year-ago levels, said one person, who added: "It has everyone worried."

Meanwhile, demand for the oversized jerseys and baggy jeans that these lines were known for dwindled, as classic looks regained popularity.

[snip]

"What we had at retail," admits Ullmann, Phat Fashion's president, "was too urban."

you have implied only about 100 times in this and other threads....

I think this is just a cover for you. I would be willing to bet that you are farther left than I am....

"If you really must know, I honestly had thought you had forgotten about me until you showed up on this thread and others where I was. Stalking me again I see.

Don't flatter yourself. I did notice that you must have alerted the Freeper Canteen that you needed help on this thread. How do you expect those good folks to defend YOUR statements in support of gun-control? You should learn to fight your own battles, Mike.

If you actually looked in the Canteen, you will find no mention of this thread by me? Why? because it is MEANINGLESS!!

I asked mojo to come over to vouch for my existance in Iraq, nothing more. She decided to ping the canteen, not me. It is relatively obvious in this thread, but that means you would actually care about the FACTS, not just your own opinions....

Sorry Mike, but I don't believe in gambling. I don't even play the lottery. If you have evidence of any leftist positions I've supported here on FreeRepublic please feel free to post a quote and a link.

Where did I ever dispute that you were IN Iraq? If you have a link to a quote, again....feel free to post it.

Like I said, I think it is a cover....

is it flimsy? yes it is. But so is your accusation that I am a gun grabber. It is simply ludicrous...

P.S. how did Perouted do in the election? Did he even break 100,000 votes in the national election?

You have implied that I am not in Iraq. YOu have implied that I was lying about what I have been doing here, which baffles me because you never stopped to ask did you? and if you did, I would have answered you just like I answer everyone else, assuming I see the post.

You have also implied (look it up, this word can be used in quote a few different ways) that I am a gun grabber because I give Giuliani props (see credit) for cleaning up New York. So he used the rules that were on the books. It isnt like he was in a position to change them and neither are you.

If you are done, I have some Levi's to order and some guns to grab.

I've posted the quotes with a link to your support of gun-control policies. I'll let others decide whether it is "ludicrous".

Where did I "imply" that? Do you have a link to a quote?

Don't expect too many folks to agree with your statements on Bill Clinton's gun-control policies. I would even go so far to say that the majority of Freepers DO NOT support Giulliani for the GOP nomination for president in 2008.

lalalallaa lallalalala

I gave the guy credit for cleaning up New York City, not for the GOP nomination.

He is lacking in several key areas that would not allow him to capture the nomination. Not only that, but he won't carry the conservatives, assuming he isnt running against Hillary.

NOt that you care, because you will vote for whatever Right Wing dictator is out there for you....

Good post kattracks! I'm glad to know that I'm almost done having to look at idiots with their underwear hanging out and the crotch of their pants below their knees.

Not only is it disgusting to see, it's also impractical. How effective can they be running from the po-leece like that?

The one displaying his underpants is way cool (at least he wears them). Oops, excuse me, I've forgotten to lock up my teenaged daughter!

"If he (Rudy Giulliani) supported Clinton's gun control laws, so what? He did clean up Gotham unlike anyone else.....maybe the ends do not justify the means, but results are what count."----MikeinIraq

Ya....it's the results which count. We got that part.

anything you say? How about that?

If it were true, that would be one thing, but it isnt. you are taking things out of context with great skill..
