The US Senate needs to uphold the law of the land.
They need to do their sworn job(s)

Those weazels in the Senate and the House aren't about to do anything about Hanoi John. They all have too many skeletons in their own closets.

Tonk, if I might add a little fuel to your fire, I seem to remember another bit in the Constitution about Senators not being paid their salary when there is excessive absence from theit senatorial duties.
Minor in comparison to your point, but every little bit helps.

That's my point - they won't do the right thing. But they cannot resist the will of the people. Problem is, those in MA don't seem to realize what stinkers they have for senators.

Wonder what skeletons the main stream right wing media have in their closets.
Thank goodness that right wing media have not let up.
Just the main stream right wing media.
Guess they are too busying selling merchandise and subscriptions.

"... They need to do their sworn job(s)."
I agreed totally.
However, consider the circumstances for Bubba - that is, impeached by the House of Representatives, and then the outcome from the US Senate vote.
With such a display, the expectations of the Senate "doing their duty" are slim and none by these lights. Sad to recognize, but politics will always trump principle there.

It is an interesting commentary that, if Kerick had been able to hide his past sins as effectively as Kerry has hidden his, Kerick would be running Homeland Security.
Problem with that statement is simple, Kerry didn't HIDE his past sins. They were everywhere you looked.

First, Thanks for your service, both military and at FR.
Secondly, This is cut and dried legally but MSM did its job so nothing will happen. I get so disgusted with the smug attitude of the left because they know we can never get the "government" to enforce the laws they break. I know I'm rambling but I get so damned mad at the double standards applied to the libs and the conservatives.

I signed an online petition for this to be investigated and for Kerry's removal from public office. I have not heard if it has been followed up on. Was it with Judicial Watch? If so, you forgot your large donation for them to care. And even if you had provided one, nothing would have come of it.

I am NO EXPERT military jurisprudence, but I believe a former service member who is suspected of malfeasance while in the service can be recalled to active duty for the purposes of a courts martial. Can anyone with more expertise than I verify this one way or another?
