Exactly. Rush is talking about this right now. Of course the bottom line agenda is that nobody can be "blamed" for what they do or don't do since they are already pre-programmed to be that way, and they "can't help it".
Rush: "It's tatamount to taking away a value-system."
...they are already pre-programmed to be that way...There is a considerable amount of truth to this. While we're still in the womb, the basic course of our lives is already shaped by who we're born to and what genes they impart to us. Here are just some of the things that, well before birth, will shape your life and the range of life choices open to you:
- Your species (homo sapiens).
- Your genger.
- Your health -- children with either congenital or genetic birth defects may not even live beyond infancy or childhood. If they do, their lives are shaped by their condition.
- Your approximate life-span and tendency to get or resist various diseases.
- Your skin, eye and hair coloration, and natural height as an adult.
- Your inborn talents and physical capabilities.
- The nationality as well as the family, ethnic, cultural, societal and religious affiliations into which you are born. These will shape the food you eat as a child (which, in turn, will affect your life-long health), as well as your educational opportunities. These will also shape how you perceive the world in which you live.
To a considerable degree, we are predestined to be the people we become.
