They are going to milk this for all the publicity they can get. They never really wanted to run the ads - they wanted what they got: this stink they're raising.

And - last I knew, broadcasters are still free decide what ads they will run or not run.

These people aren't Christians. They're leftist bullies.
They need to be exposed as much as possible.

If the ads ran without controversy, they would have had to buy air time. By interjecting a charge of racism in the ads, they created controversy and guaranteed some in the media would give them free broadcast (as a news item) of their ad.
