You missed the point - the fact that its dioxin means its unlikely its a hit. If there was some chicanery, you're presuming they're intent was to kill Yuschenko(sp). Not necessarily so. The almost debilitating effects of dioxin should have taken him out of the race. And dioxin could presumably be explained away exactly as the "security" people are doing......bad fish, inadvertant exposure, yadda yadda.

There is a flaw to your theory - the amounts used to cripple him would be so much that it could not be explained away as dioxin from contaminated fish ect.

For dioxin to do what it did (dioxin is in almost everything including your burnt toast) it has to be in huge amounts.

I can think of better things to knock one out - like rat poison - it thins the blood - can't be detected and makes it seem ou had a stroke.

It is what many think was used to bump off Stalin.

This "story" smells really bad, malicious disinformation put forward by shills and repeated by fools. It's not even worth pointing out all the logical holes in it. I'll just remark that the defense "accused bad guy X couldn't have done bad thing Y because X is much too smart to do Y in such an obvious way" is almost universally a sign that X is guilty, and remind everyone on this thread that YUSHCHENKO'S ILLNESS WAS A FRIGGING MYSTERY FOR MONTHS, and to claim now that it was "obvious" and "too simple" is disgustingly disingenuous.

Possible, but I suppose the bottom line is that we don't even know for sure if the dioxin poisoning diagnosis is correct do we? I suspect there's some political intrigue afoot, and I'd also be willing to bet we'll probably never get to see the whole picture.
