Qwest has an option to block a caller after you've answered and just after you hang up. You pick up the phone and press a combination of keys, something like *77, and then that number can't ring through to you any more. Whichever phone company you have might offer a similar feature.

I have a home line with Quest, however there isn't a phone hooked up I only use if for my fax and my Internet. I hear the fax ring when I receive faxes, however every so often nothing is faxed. It gives me great pleasure that some telemarketer is calling my fax and getting that horrible fax sound in their ear. My line is suppose to be unlisted and I have never given it out except to businesses my husband does business with. I find cell phones is the way to go.
