I am very concerned about Bush's immigration policy. I very much agree that keeping differences within the party oppressed during the election was the wisest course. I also believe that the GOP comes first, just on basic principal. I don't think you can find a candidate that does meet every need you have, agree with every opinion, put forth policies that might meet an individual priority schedule. Although I think Tommy McClintock comes pretty close for me. I also don't think the Iraqi democracy effort will fail. And President Bush, as well as the party as a whole, has done many wonderful things to show for this term. I'm quite proud of all of them. Even ol' Arnie out here.... And thank you so much for the vast improvement of punctuation and capitalization. Your readers are grateful. :)
Im not sure if I said it or not but I was going to say that I wish we could get Bush out and put in McClintock instead. I really enjoyed listening to him during the debates.
It sounds like a tall order now to try to help all the other countries in the world improve their quality of life. There are many other countries in this world where people have it as bad and worse than the Iraqi people. Just like my reasoning against most social service programs I dont think building up other peoples countries is going to work out well. The best intentions may be there but things seem to be appreciated more if people do it for themselves. Its also difficult to try to build a nation on our principles but give people who dont live like we do the control over the government. The people over there are muslims so our form of peace, freedom, democracy and human rights will not be easy to instill in them even if we had total control over the government. Id like to think it will catch on but I dont think it will.
