We have had one bad thing happen to us since Oct. 2003. I was pleased that Bush won again. But other than that, every time I think I can't take any more, something bad happens. Like my planets are alligned against me this past year, and no I don't believe in astrology! Even Friday night, as I was getting ready to go to Houston to meet John O'Neill author of UNFIT TO COMMAND, at a big Republican Christmas party - my son totalled his car. He totalled one last Jan. In Oct. 2003 we had a house fire. In Aug. 2004 we were robbed $23K worth... etc. Friday my husband had a flu shot and had a severe reaction to it. These are just a few of the bad things that have happened to us in the past year. Of course MANY good things happened, too. I just feel like a black cloud has been following me for a year now. I was afraid I would jinx the presidential election. People were even telling me maybe I should support Kerry
so I wouldn't jinx Bush.
I keep wondering how much more God can give me to bear. But this couple and this little darling baby girl....
I will keep their troubles in mind next time I feel sorry for ME.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm really surprised this was not known during tests while Tammy was pregnant.

Why 'tripe'? If this little girl's dad can still proclaim his loyalty to God in spite of this, why would you think to dismiss it?

"God never gives you more than you can handle." Tripe!

I hear you. This one is off the charts. Either god does not exist, or he is incredibly cruel at times.

"God never gives you more than you can handle."

Tripe!

God didn't promise that to you, so you needn't worry about it. It is a promise to those who trust Him.
