One Reporter's Opinion - The Systematic Dismantling of America George Putnam Friday, Dec. 3, 2004
It is this reporter's opinion that we are witnessing a form of legal blackmail - legal terrorism - in our own court system.
Anti-American groups like La Raza, the Mexican American Legal Defense Education Fund (MALDEF), the League of Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and MEChA - aided and abetted by the ACLU - are battling us on U.S. soil, screaming racism if anyone protests illegal migration and promoting their agenda "Reconquista of Aztlan," and are attempting to tear our country apart using our very own court system.
First it was Proposition 187, passed overwhelmingly by the people of California Nov. 8, 1994 to deny public benefits to illegal aliens in California. The very next day lawsuits were filed by MALDEF, LULAC, the ACLU, and others.
That's where the struggle began in our court system to reverse the will of the people. It led to the recall of Governor Davis - but only after the Governor and the Latino activists killed Proposition 187.
It was predictable that when the people of Arizona overwhelmingly passed Proposition 200 (the ghost of 187) that the same groups would set out to reverse this proposition, too. Sure enough, the federal judge has blocked the proposition, saying attorneys raised serious questions about its constitutionality and its potential conflicts with federal law.
U.S. District Judge David Bury granted a restraining order and set December 22 as the date to hear evidence for and against the anti-illegal immigration measure. The action came only a few hours after a prominent Hispanic organization, MALDEF, filed a lawsuit challenging the popular initiative and only a day before Arizona's governor, Janet Napolitano, was to proclaim it as law.
The framers of Proposition 200 had expressed confidence that the measure was carefully written and would withstand constitutional challenges.
But in the complaint filed by MALDEF, they claimed Proposition 200 turned state employees into immigration agents, denied benefits covered by federal law, and could discourage thousands of Arizonans from voting.
The attorneys sued on behalf of dozens of plaintiffs, including illegals, their children, and all of the aforementioned groups.
The judge's decision is widely considered a blow to Proposition 200; but the judge also wrote that the court is not ruling on the merits of the measure - that he lacks sufficient information to reach a conclusion on the constitutionality, that the court finds itself "in an extremely undesirable situation" in delaying the proposition's implementation.
And the judge added, "A majority of Arizona voters cast their ballots in favor of Proposition 200 and this court is loathe to disregard their decision; but on the other hand, the court is obligated to uphold the Constitution of the United States, even when to do so stands in opposition to popular opinion."
So, here we go again - the will of the people is being held up if not reversed, as the game of legal blackmail continues. And, mind you, all of this legal tug-of-war goes on in our own courts as those opposed to our way of life and the sovereignty of the United States of America challenge the heart of our country.
As my friend Frosty Wooldridge said in response to this latest maneuver, "Our president and this congress are dismantling America by design. Call it multiculturalism or diversity or one world government or globalism. In the end, it will mean the finish of the USA as a free, cohesive, sustainable and functioning society."
Hark back to George Orwell's book, "1984." In that story, three slogans are engraved on the Ministry of Truth building:
WAR IS PEACE
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH
But there is still hope. In the Arizona vote, 47% of the Latinos voted in favor of Proposition 200. Americans of all races, creeds and colors may yet determine to save the sovereignty of America. Let's hope and pray.
Don't bet on it. Most Americans believe Ignorance is strength. Don't admit the bogey man is under your bed and he won't hurt you.
(/sarcasm
Great graphic !
You speak the truth there!! Let it all just work out by itself!! That's what the enemies of the Republic are counting on. All of this will be ignored unless they are made aware of it. The recent demonstrations at Wells Fargo Banks and Home Depot, regardless of how large or small they are brings this problem into the light.
The immigration reform that the President wants cannot be allowed to take place. We must bang on the doors of Congress and the White House and make our feelings known.
I believe that as the Black Vote has been taken for granted by the Democrats so has the Conservative voter been taken advantage of by the Republicans. The Eletist are Eletist regardless of party.
It's time to place into congress men and wemon who are strong Pro American Constitutionalist, and 2006 is a great place to start. If the Dimms and the Republicans see a large movement of their base to a third party, they are going to think twice about what they are doing. They will promise us the stars and the moon, would you believe them?
I just think we have been sold out by the Dimms and the Republicans, it's time for an American Revolution. If we elect strong supporters of the Constitution what harm can be done? Out of the UN, Cut funding for governments who are our enemies? Protect our Borders? Hunt down and deport Illegal Aliens? Hey that's a lot of damage, the kind of damage that I and many more AMERICANS want.
The Dimms and the Republicans JUST WILL NOT HEAR the AMERICAN People, we have no place else to go for representation in Congress: Let's see, elections 2006,
Constitutional Party,

America First Party,

Independant American Party

The American Party

The correct interpretation should be, "unless they are not US citizens". The United States Constitution applies only to the United States Government and its citizens.
Bump!
Why can't liberals just follow the law.
We have a whole generation of anything but America lovers. These people were raised without appreciation for their own country.
This show in their willingness to not to protect this country from a third world invasion.
Why should America be the depository for the worlds run a way birth rates.
Theoretically, that could mean any individual in the entire world who files a claim against the US tax payers. I believe our politicians and court systems are working together to suck every American citizen dry, and eventually, we'll be made to support every poor person on the planet, if the courts rule in favor of the Mexicans.
Join the band wagon, World!
It sums up what the ACLU and its various knockoffs like La Raza have been doing to America and us for decades.
Now they no longer control the media, and we are able to get the ugly truth about these Jihadists with a Law Degree out for America to see.
Damn if this doesn't exactly portray the left wing philosophy.
Who do we blame?
I call it payback -- Companies that desire cheap (illegal) labor make darn sure the Party coffers are full, and the pols return the favor by keeping the borders as open as possible. ......national security be damned.
Both the pols AND their enabling electorate.
And the ACLU and activist judges, of course.
Let's not forget the Democrats who first brought this nightmare on to us. Ted Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson will go down in infamy for opening up the borders to every scum alive on the planet.
The Pubs are just unlucky enough to have an open borders guru in charge right now.
"Who do we blame?"
All of us. And now it's up to some of us to fix this mess.
An excellent assessment. The ACLU was founded by a gang of Communists, supported by Democrats and Atheists. Is there any difference?
