The Empire State Building's foundation is very deep. IF I remember correctly it is about 1/3. However it was built in the 1930s. Technology and materials are very different today. So, to answer your question, I do not know.

The Manhattan schist (bedrock ) is only 18 ft deep at times square. Midtown was made for skyscrapers. It would be pointless to go much deeper except for mechanical and infrastructure demands. The Empire State building's foundation goes about 5 stories down
