Supporters of the city's most famous homeless couple have published the names and phone numbers of their privacy-loving former landlords — and demanded that CNN report on the bird brouhaha, which features its anchor Paula Zahn.
Hundreds of hawk-huggers from around the country, outraged that the board of Zahn's co-op evicted Pale Male and his paramour, Lola, from their nest on the exclusive Fifth Avenue building, declared guerrilla war.
They posted the co-op owners' numbers on the Internet and sent hundreds of angry e-mails to Mayor Bloomberg and Upper East Side elected officials.
The Internet posting could be have the most dramatic impact. A major complaint of the rich and famous tenants at 927 Fifth is that hawk gawkers sometimes turned their telescopes on the windows of the building's human residents.
One doctor in the building was inundated by at least a dozen calls. "Everybody's been calling here, calling the doctors," said administrator Carmen Fernandez...[snip]

If New Yorkers really wanted to show us westerners how to treat a bird then they should ban all human inhabitation within 50,000 acres of the birds. Voluntarily, no court stuff.

Delicious, watching the hawks come home to roost disguised as crow pie.
It is fun, especially since the primary reason to remove the nest was the preservation of their privacy and now everybody who reads these pieces knows where they live and sees them in a negtive light.
