I am a lecherous broad when it come to Clay Aiken.
His concerts often sell out in a few minutes and the reviews are overwhelmingly positive.
He's a big hearted guy with a
phenomenal voice.
His Christmas album is great.
His book, "Learning to Sing" has been on the NYT's best seller list.
Good read. I recommend it. :)
"Mary Did You Know" sung by Clay Aiken.

Thanks for the link. I wasn't going to buy the album because I can't stand secular Christmas music.

Hate to break your heart this early in the morning, but I'm not sure you and I play for a team that Clay's team plays with.
Frankly, I don't even think our team and his are in the same league.

MaryFromMichigan,
I am proud to admit I am a Claymate. I attended his concert in CT last night. What a refreshing change from the current trash we are subjected to. I'd also note that this years disgusting Billboards presentation received very low ratings and it was opposite Clay's Christmas Special. Everytime I attend one of his concerts, buy a CD or his book, I consider it a vote against Rap Crap.

The songs grew more intriguing, too. Mr. Aiken sang "Mary, Did You Know" as if he were a kind but ruthless police investigator, asking for information he already had. "Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?/ When you kiss your little baby, you kissed the face of God." His voice was low and spooky, evoking not just a true believer's shivery faith but also a new mother's bewilderment.I don't believe for a minute the author of this hit piece even listened to this song.
It's a beautiful piece of contemporary Christmas music and Clay Aiken sang it about the best I've ever heard it sung. Thanks for posting the link, I'm going to buy his Christmas CD today after listening to your link.

Super song. I love to hear Mark Lowry sing it too.
This song has been around for a few years.
It was written by Mark Lowry who is a great Christian comedian and was member of "The Gaither Vocal Band". Kenny Rogers recorded the sound a couple years ago also.
I decided to watch Clay's special the other night. I've never seen him before or heard him sing. It was a real treat. I truly was thrilled with the show and his "missionary" work done on that show. How many teens were watching? Nice to see a real "Christ"mas special.
Alan Jackson does a nice family "Christ"mas special too.
NYT reporter is just rude and deeply saddened that no one is as impressed with him or her as folks are with Clay.

Are you an official Lecherous Broad? I go to the site often to read the witty, creative descriptions you Broads come up with. Great site!
