The fellow's vehicle is his private property...how come it was searched? It does not become the property of the corporation just because it's parked on their property. No more than my vehicle does when parked at Wal-mart.

I have no idea. Perhaps he gave permission to search? Most sign it and forget it, but at my wife's place of employment, you sign a permission slip for them to search your vehicle when you get your employee parking sticker. It's the employee's choice, he/she doesn't have to sign it, but then he/she would have to find another place to park.

Exactly. Do I agree to a body-cavity search when I walk into a place of business?

There was a case not too long ago about women being filmed changing clothes at a Hooters. Well, if I give consent to searching my car when I drive into the parking lot, how is that different than a search of my person while I am changing clothes? Where is the line here? I put the line at anything in a locked container.
