So could my boss say that I own a pickup and they are gas-guzzlers and so therefore I may not park it there?

Dear MontanaCowgirlCop,

"So could my boss say that I own a pickup and they are gas-guzzlers and so therefore I may not park it there?"

I believe that foreign-made vehicles were prohibited from the parking lots of certain American automakers for a time.

If you live in a state with a strong at-will employment doctrine, your employer could forbid you from wearing red to work, or from wearing long hair and earrings (if you're a man). Unless it can be interpreted by a judge that your employer has violated the protections of the law for race, religion, color of skin, gender, or nationality of origin.
