Wow, it's like you read my mind, because I think exactly the same thing, and make similar remarks to my seven year old. I always want to say to these crows, "Woman! You don't HAVE to cover your head here!" They are a terrible example for young American girls and I just won't let it go by without comment. With apologies to NO ONE. Not long after 9/11 I saw a woman in a department store wearing a full burka, with 2 kids in tow, just as in Afghanistan. It got me thinking how easy it must be to issue ID cards over there. You just have a generic picture of someone wearing a burka - think of all the money they can save.

Anyway you and others have a point - if you beat the daylights out of your wife, but then need to go shopping with her the next day, no one knows, if she wears a burka. There's probably more to that outfit than immediately meets the eye.
