Would you shoot someone severly injured in a car accident?

Putting someone you already shot out of their misery is not the same thing. Iraq is not like the local traffic intersection. There's no hospital right up the road in Iraq. It's hard enough to get friendlies medivaced in time, and still people lose limbs pretty regularly. A lot of that is due to fragmentation and explosives, which is rare outside of combat zones.

There are certain rare circumstances where I'd be inclined to put down a conscious, mortally wounded person who has no possible chance of recieving advanced medical care. I'd never deny anyone a fighting chance, and I'd be applying first aid like a champ if there was even a remote chance of survival. If there was a sliver of doubt, I'd say 'don't give up'.

Most severe trauma cases can be stabilized with immediate first aid and transport to a hospital. Some wouldn't survive if they were injured in the OR. Life's funny that way.

In severe pain, immediate help is not available, chance of survival is nil?
Yes – particularly if they asked. It would be difficult for me to just watch the suffering. I would want someonw to do the same for me.

If the person in the car wreck had no chance of receiving medical attention, in excruciating pain and suffering and likely to die anyway as this person likely was, I would absolutely end his suffering.

...Would you shoot someone severly injured in a car accident?...

If the car were on fire as this guys vehicle was, and if half the person's head were gone as this guys' was, and if they had a severe abdomen wound as this guy did, I'd probably just let 'em suffer and die.

Happy now?

What an asinine analogy. Go profess your stupidity somewhere else. This is war you moron. You owe all your freedoms to these men whose character you so casually besmirch. Ingrate.

Quite frankly, I'd have the tips of a 3-pack of crayons blunted in your case.
