True... but this election will be seen as the Democrats high-water mark. They had an unprecented turnout, they stoked up the anti-Bush fervor, spent millions and had a friendly mainstream media in their corner - and they still LOST.

Yes...that is all true. We were blessed to have the much larger turnout and to once and for all put down this myth that high turnout equals liberal/leftist/marxist wins.
What it showed was that when the tens of millions who normally practise apathy were awakened, more of them went for correct principles...and that is very heartening because there are still more who are uninvolved.
But 59 million voting for such unabashed anti-Americansm is still a shame and a tragedy.

What scares me is how good he did, had the press simply been neutral it would have amounted to a landslide.
