This President only became a "new world order zealot" when the terrorists forced his hand.

No, he was a strong advocate for the FTAA from the beginning of his presidency. And the terrorist attacks should have induced any rational person to distance us from the UN, not embrace it.

What direct order are you referring to?

The UN has no authority to issue any order. Bush disobeyed nothing. The UN is a cancer that feeds off the American taxpayer and Bush will never reject them as such. He is another one worlder like the Rockefellers that brought us the UN.

Does Russia qualify as a Democracy? What is the incentive for a country like Canada to join a US-dominated UN where they have no say? They have that already.

Yes the Un is broken. BUT, most US citizens will think the UN is broken if it rules against our wishes. Sometimes when they take a position against ours, it may be that it's the correct position and ours in incorrect, or it's somewhere inbetween. What we really want is a global rubber stamp.

It's not "broken"; it's working as designed. That's the problem.

And I'm not looking for a global rubber stamp. We can stand on our own legitimacy.

There are many times the UN makes decisions (are they rulings) that are in deep conflict with US values, interests and positions. There have also been some times where it has been in our best interests for A to occur when in fact B may have been the better course for the globe. And, if you look to the UN as some sort or arbitor, someone in arbitration wins and someone loses. When we lose, we get p**sed and say the UN has no legitimacy.

that being said, I believe it is more often wrong that right with regard to the US, but sometimes we've got to walk a mile in the other mans shoes too.
