Al Franken announced on MSNBC that he is going to Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan next month, I think his presence there would be detrimental to the troops morale, I am sure they booked him as a comic not realizing how anti-war he is, I recommend we contact the USO and inform them that this is not a good idea.

Yea well, if we can get him booted off I would be pleased, I am sick of the liberals support the troops crap, they loathe the military. I cant see any good coming from his trip, I would feel exactly the same if they booked michael moore (shudder).

I think that they appreciate anyone that comes over to talk to them. You can't fault them that.

Are you certain this is under aegis of the USO? Maybe he's going independently. If so, maybe he'll get the chance to meet Zarqawi personally and convince him to lay down his arms and "Just get along". :-)

It'll be interesting to see if he gets booed. I'm betting he has enough common sense not to attack the Pres. while he's there. Even Al Franken ain't that stupid.

If he could find a way to do comedy without being exploitive politically I wouldn't have a problem with it at all. As a matter of fact I would salute him for it. I'm having trouble seeing him doing that though. I guess we'll see.
