Hillary Clinton is not Kerry.
She is carefully positioning herself to cut right through any dem candidate in '08. I have no doubt that she will be a candidate and will defeat all the others to win the Democratic Presidential Nomination.
It may not seem so now, I think she's even said that she will not be running, don't believe it. She sees what is going on with Rush, Sean Hannity, and others; so she she puts the word out that she is not running while her stealthy and strategic maneuvers put her exactly where she wants to be in '08.
Never underestimate the beast!
I wasn't.
Well-said. Could not agree more.
Morris has no genuine opinions of his own. He is a rank opporuntist who will say whatever his hidden agenda is at any given time.
Most egregiously, Morris is in the top ranks of proselytizers, manipulating public opinion without the knowledge and consent of his readers (or viewers).
Morris posseses the sangfroid of the congenital sociopath, like his ex-boss Clinton.
Exactly what red states would Hillary win over?????...to beat anybody???
Dick Morris is both brilliant and horrible with predictions. Any halfway decent Republican can beat Hillary. There are literally millions of working class and middle class northerners who voted Clinton, Gore, and Kerry who will be LOOKING for a reason NOT to vote for Hillary. All we have to do is give them a respectable ticket. If Hillary's the nominee of the Dems, which she likely will be, the only ones who can beat the Republicans are the Republicans. Let's not do something stupid like stay at home because our ideal nominee doesn't win the primary.
Regionally Rudy would play well in places like MI and PA, where there are lots of northern ethnic Catholics who can relate to Rudy. Also, Rudy does have values --- personal values like leadership and courage. Values aren't just one's political position on abortion.
Oh, I don't know, I think any FReeper, with a good baseball bat, is up to the challenge. Just have to watch out for those thick legs.
You're half right and half wrong. You're right about her winning the nomination. The Clinton machine will destroy any opposition in the party. You're wrong about her winning nationally. MI, PA, OH, WI, IA, MN --- these are all purple states full of working class and middle class moderates who don't want to vote for a socialist New Yorker with a shrill demeanor. They're practically begging us to give them someone decent to vote for. Unless we screw up and nominate Pat Buchanan or split the party over abortion, we should do fine.
YAY! I will be honored to vote for Condi in '08.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Maybe she could get a job as a "Fuller Brush Man?"
You think Hillary is a woman?
I like your thinking.
Morris is often an idiot. I think _any_ Republican candidate that doesn't totally suck will beat Hillary in a walk, and a lot more astute political analysts than Morris have said so (see Peggy Noonan's new column)
I think Condoleezza Rice is an amazing woman with incredible credentials. However, I think Morris has lost his mind on this one.
There are any number of Republicans who can beat Hitlary.

don't underestimate the shift in the women's vote when she runs (and she is). many independent women will vote for her, and many young women who normally would not vote, will turnout and vote for her. and Richardson to her ticket, and they will do better amongst Hispanics then Bush did in 2004. she will move to the right on many issues (lies of course) and the media will back her up all the way.
that 61 million vote number doesn't mean much, a 60K vote swing in Ohio - and Kerry is president-elect right now.
Hillary will be 4 years uglier than she is now. Time is not Hillary's friend.
He says this every week. He's said it for over a year.
