Pics 1,2,3, &5 didn't show.

That day was one of the happiest days of the year for me. By contrast the previous days right up to election night were the most painful. I totally shut off the media, except for Fox now and then. Peace of mind only came for me when I logged on to FR, I'll never forget that.

Note to self: don't forget to donate to FR next time.

Totally agree: election day and the days leading up. Actually on election day, I did not listen to one word on the radio or TV. I worked that day as a poll observer and when done with that, came home, enjoyed dinner, and came to Free Republic. Still did not cut on the TV. But even from FR was so discouraged, went to bed thinking President Bush had lost or it was so close we would not know for days. Others told me the next day the truth. What a glorious next day. For sure.

For some reason I can no longer see the Reuters pictures but can see the ones I and others have posted......wonder why.
