NEW YORK -- "I was just in the editing room, working on the last piece," Bill Moyers says. "I thought: `I've done this so many times, and each one is as difficult as the last one.' Maybe finally I've broken the habit."
It hasn't been so much a habit for Moyers as a truth-telling mission during his three decades as a TV journalist. But come next week, he will sign off from "Now," the weekly PBS newsmagazine he began in 2002, as, at age 70, he retires from television.
"I'm going out telling the story that I think is the biggest story of our time: how the right-wing media has become a partisan propaganda arm of the Republican National Committee," . . .

Hey I read that book, It didn't start with Watergate, by Lasko I think it was. Most excellent book, I'm sure out of print now, showed how FDR, JFK and LBJ were all in the dirty tricks business bigtime but they add the press and the congress on their side so no worries for them!
Another interesting point - LBJ's spin-meisters were Moyers and Jack Valenti. Didn't Jack Valenti also recently step down from his motion pictures mouthpiece gig?
Moyer's wife is the head of his "foundation", collecting big bucks.
I believe that his son is the "brains" behind tompaine.com.
Liberal garbage, all of them.
And the other guy in the dark suit at right is Governor Connelly! What's goin on here?
Hey, I get it. They're toasting Joe! He's the only one who isn't raising a beer mug. They're toasting Joe!
What "right-wing media"?? There isn't any! FOXnews is middle of the road, and the lefties hate it with a passion for not being in their pockets like the rest of the alphabet "news" media.
Also, I didn't see any mention of moyer's drunk-driving bust in this puff piece.
Mr. good for nothing slimebag leftist calls it quits.
Hooray!
Literally no one was watching his leftist garbage and that's the real reason he is leaving TV. His ratings were in the toilet, just like his politics.
Buh-bye, Crapweasle.
Good riddance!
