Rummy may have been a little bit tricked, but if the Armor is not there he set himself up.

There were major miscalulations and our boys are dying because of that. We have to take the bad with the good and it must be aired even though it sounds like a democratic ploy.

Let's quit pussy footing around over there. This thing may hurt a little bit at first but hopefully embarrasing Rummy will get him kicking some ass.

Is it not there .. or is it not "all" there and in the process of being sent there

The reason I ask is because I recall from watching Steve Harrigan from FNC .. He did a report describing the protection and armor of the vehicle/truck he was riding in

As Rumsfeld said in the transcript, "You go to war with the army you have." It sounds like he is saying that we are using all we've got and we're working on getting more as fast as we can. Sounds reasonable.

Look Pal! Study your military history and quit drinking the MSM Kool-Aid. If you look at the military history, then you will find out that Iraq is the biggest military success is the history of the United States. This is in the terms of a major war. We have lower casualties there than in WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. We have taken more land, and now are in the process of allowing for the first time the Iraq people freedom. Iraq is not going to be Japan over night. Its going to take years as it did for Germany, Japan, and our country. I am sure you remember the MSM preaching to us how tens of thousands would die. This was before the war. Well... well.... We have been there for some time now, and were just over 1000. Yes I do not like seeing our guys die, but that is a fact of war.
People die in War. This is not the A-Team where no one dies when you go to war. So quit demanding perfection!

Rummy is kicking butt. You just will not ever hear it from the quisling MSM and the press.

Have you forgotten that Kerry voted AGAINST the $87 million to outfit our soldiers?

I have to say that when I was in the Army, we discussed the non-existent door and back protection on that slow as molasses
humvee. Even the old blazers at least had some sheet metal between you and small arms fire. In the humvee you can forget making a hasty exit; you basically became a very slow moving sitting duck. They would have been better off giving the old blazers some real off road tires and polycarbonate windows and
armor plated doors. I believe the company that produced the humvee was the same one that came up with such unforgettable classics as the AMC pacer and the gremlin. I'm all for american companies getting the business of the armed services but surely they could have found something faster-stronger-lighter than that slow diesel humvee (and did I mention they break down alot?).
Let's look at some vehicles that are better- GM duramax turbodiesel with allison 5-speed (with perf. chip) crew cab 4x4 truck. (Fast, reliable, comfortable, pull anything, uses off the shelf parts).
Nissan Titan crew cab 4x4. 305 hp, reliable, fast comfortable.
Ford powerstroke diesel in 4x4 crew cab.
Any other suggestions?
