"who are risking their lives every day, while you and I sit at our computers." My take is these guys are in a staging area and haven't even seen battle yet. They are also, I believe, National Guard and reserve troops vs reg armed forces and quite possibly this kid represents the 'whiner contingent' of those called up who never thought they would.

I think the Guard and Reserves have proved their mettle in this war....my husband led his convoy from Kuwait to Northern Iraq without any armor, just air support. He was ordered to, he did it without any complaint and got his troops safely into Iraq...my 1sg hubby is just mortified at what this soldier did.....please don't call the Guard and Reserves whiners...my hubby's AVN unit outperformed and out flew the so-called regular Army.
