That soldier is still an idiot. What good does telling the enemy those trucks aren't armored in a public serve? More people will die now because that idiot pointed out a weak point.

Oh, wait...it's been all over the news for months? Anyone who can get up close to a Humvee can check out the armor? Anyone can look up the specifications for the vehicle and see that it's got basically no undercarriage armor?
Never mind.

That soldier is still an idiot. What good does telling the enemy those trucks aren't armored in a public serve? LOL!
What the hell does this say about our intelligence for allowing this to happen in the first damn place! What the hell would they expect a reporter to do?
I the questions we all fabricated and lies, why in hell did the troops all erupt in cheers when they were asked?
Why in hell did we have a reporter in there?
Where the f**k is our intellegence?

I'm getting eviscerated on the thread "DISGRUNTLED TROOPS COMPLAIN TO RUMSFELD" over saying this same thing. Think some DU'ers snuck in. . .

I hope this is not the case...but I think the soldier(s?) was offered money to do this...even the most honorable of people will throw morality honor and integrity for the almighty dollar.

Why are new troops being sent to Iraq bring their own unarmored Vehicles. The units leaving whose tour is up probably are taking their vehicles which are armored with them. Stupid policy The Commanders there should leave those vehicles there for the relieving troops.
Casualities would be down and troop morale would go up. the wounded rate is about 10 times the deaths so far. Thus the overall casualties is around 12,000 or about 8%. That's too high. I can't understand why our military didn't anticipate the wave of suicide car bombings and roadside mines. What has happened to so called American ingenuity and ability to adapt to changing tactics our our enemies.

You are naive if you think the enemy didn't already know this. More men will die because they are not equipped with what they need to engage in this war, not because of a question asked by a soldier.

I agree. The reporter is scum, but the soldier was an idiot to let himself be used that way.

You dont think the enemy know that they videotape their IEDs going off and know what to use!
The soldier regardless of who helped him did the right thing by bringing this to the surface.
Rumsfeld should also be commended for answering the question and promising to take care of the problem.
