On the 63rd anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, President Bush flew to Camp Pendelton, California and back again to speak with the Marines, and thank them for their service and great sacrifice, but made it clear that the War on Terror is not over. After his public appearance, the President met privately with the families of 50 Marines who have died in Iraq.
The President is leading with strength and certainty, so its a good time to be a Bushbot! ENJOY your trip to Sanity Island, and the Daily Dose!!
If so, I have one next week, and one in January, and another in February.........hehe........
Are you seriously moving into the next decade already??? What has happened to the time, anyway?
You're most welcome!
...and God bless english teachers who demand proper spelling. Sheesh...
Oh, I bet she loves the fluffy hair too, just thinks it looks better "tame" in the formal photos.
Saw the WH special on HGTV. Very interesting - just one teensy weensy disappointment: I thought they were going to finally show the Bush cat, Willie (also called India) on tv. All they showed was a still photo from the WH website. This one in fact -
The First Cat was featured in some of the artistic endeavors at the White House, making music with Barney! :-)
Thanks for the pictures. He's the reason I'm now a Republican. What a great President he is.
Please! Save your drivel for a thread dealing with immigration, would you? Really.
I think India is camera shy, ride.
Hmmm...well, I'll have to have a talk with her and see if I can convince her to let it be fluffy for next year's Christmas picture :)
Fantastic! Welcome to the RIGHT party! :o)
Got to get to bed now. Good night, all!
I was just saying that they should have given him a jacket that wasn't as tight.
Then I was noting the fact that the man wore it anyway.
He didn't care that it might make him look pudgy on TV, he wore it to honor the troops that had gone to the effort of giving it to him. (Screw the media image, he's got a mandate and mission to fulfill)
Then I was thinking what the military-hating Klintoon would have done in the same situation. Klintoon would have thrown a hissy fit and refused to wear the jacket.
Heck, maybe it's just a self-conscious thing for me.
My former six-pac abs are starting to look like an actual six-pac, LOL (well, maybe only a three-pac).
See the well-fit tux picture in post 48, the Pres looks great. Besides, the First Lady still looks hot.
Thank you...night.
They say Willie is very shy. If you have cats, you know they're very independent and do NOT necessarily crave the attention dogs do . . . our dogs will do all but EAT the camera when I'm trying to take their picture . . .
I've been trying to take a pic. of our three cats all together, for weeks. . . I've gotten maybe three of them, two when the cats were sleeping. As soon as the flash went off, one or more instantly left. The other was when they were all eating, and one even left the food dish when she figured out what I was doing.
If Willie is truly camera shy, they'd be lucky to get one photo a year of her.
Are you new to The Dose? If so, WELCOME!
Yes, I know Laura has even said that India's shy. One of the lead-ins during the show just made it sound like the cat would make an appearance. Guess I just took it too literally. Still enjoyed it very much. It's repeating right now, btw.
BBSS --Blue Bow Stress Syndrome .. LOL

Thanks for the First Cat update. My cat also says thanks
as he hogs the space in front of the monitor.
Wasn't it about this time last year when Saddaam was captured?? Wouldn't it be wonderful is UBL was captured on the same date? IIRR, there was really no news that they were close to capturing him . . . all of the sudden it was just on the news. Wouldn't that be the BEST Christmas present?
I'd love to see Willie too.
Can't you feel the pain????
