Not so.
The epitome of "muscular Christianity" was Theodore Roosevelt. It was a turn of the century movement that tried to arrest the degeneration of the upper crust WASP male into a kind of Henry James ineffectual bystander more comfortable in Europe than America.

Obviously, much work remains for "muscular Christians"... Especially on lats, traps, and delts. I haven't yet hit on the right circuit and sets to get them in top shape.
