Couldn't agree more with your assessment. Praising God comes in many varieties. Condemning those who worship differently, or setting up man made rules of worship to to enforce conformity, is exactly the kind of thing that Jesus preached against.

Christ called the Jewish Temple leaders of his times hypocrites. They were more concerned with style and conformity than substance. Similarly, the Church legalism we see today is bordering on the same hypocrisy.

It matters not what type of music is used to show reverence to God. What justifies one's worship is the heartfelt belief that Christ is our Savior, and we are saved by God's loving Grace.

No deed, no form of music, no magical words of wisdom will ever change that fact.
