I was in CR Div (Communications).
Worked for CWO3 Stranko.
AWW! That name rings a bell.
I was the guy who was always playing Metallica on my guitar in the refueling station on the Starboard side on the center island.
My guess is that this guy is getting paid by the lawyers to be a test case, and that is his reason for not going. Someone posted information from the lawyer's web site, showing that he has been soliciting for clients that would refuse to go to Iraq.
Thanks Chief, how was the limburger????
Limburger???? They told me it was "frumunda"
Avast there! Make the yellow-bellied coward walk the plank an' send 'im down ta Davey Jones' locker!
This guy is no loss. Let the military apply the rules and be done with him.
You have the wrong Navy.
ART. 87. MISSING MOVEMENT
Any person subject to this chapter who through neglect or design misses the movement of a ship, aircraft, or unit with which he is required in the course of duty to move shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
Had to use this one a few times on some scumbags.
Naaaa. I prefer the Royal Navy's punishment.
Hi Mr. Silverback:
Your interest in modeling got my attention, check out these sites:

You building anything right now?
Hi Mr. Silverback:
Yes, as a matter of fact, I'm building an M60A3 (with Spanish markings) for a friend in Madrid, a Humvee (Spanish Marines) for a local friend, and a Leopard II for a third friend who is an officer in the Spanish Legion. And dating a pretty senorita and trying to see Spain and Europe at the same time!
When you get around to buying one, Shanghai Dragon makes an excellent LHD ship (I think it's the USS Bataan or Wasp) in 1/700 scale. Check the Hobbylink Japan and/or Hobbyeasy internet sites. I believe they also make it in 1/350 scale, but I'm not sure. The photoetch details (small extremely fine metal details like railings, ladders and radar arrays) come in a separate kit (expensive, around $30.00)made by Tom's Modelworks, or Eduard of the Czech Republic.
Have fun!
Levante
P.S. I haven't gotten around to posting any pictures on Armorama, Missing Lynx or any of the other modeling forums - yet!

Two questions:
1. Just out of curiousity, what brings you to Spain?
2. Can you let me know how your Humvee build goes? After I clear the backlog, I'm hoping to build a replica (preferably large-scale) of the Humvees our local guard unit used in Iraq. At the very least, I'm going to build one that matches their state-side ones, since I can just ask nicely and go take a bunch of reference photos.
BTW, and I hope I'm not giving "too much information...Here's my current backlog list:
B-52G with harpoons
USS Lionfish submarine (WWII)
Minsk Soviet aircraft carrier
USS Ticonderoga Aegis Cruiser
I-19 class Japanese sub
USS Arizona
USS Oregon (Spanish-American War battleship)
Robert E. Lee Mississippi River Steamboat
KC-135A Tanker--I'm getting Expert Choice decals for this one, with the markings and nose art of a tanker I worked on during my Air Force enlistment.
HMS Victory--with full rigging. God help me!
Thanks!
If I were King...barefoot landmine removal duty.
