This is the 'Gator Frieghter' in particlar that the dirt bag refused to board... The USS Bonhomme Richard.
Oh my God, they fired back at the country that helped kill 3,000 Americans! And then they told people they had shot back! What evil, evil people we are!
My grandfather joined for a stable job in 1939. When Pearl harbor happened, he didn't whine about it, and he didn't make it back home for a very, very long time.
Good riddance I'd say - he's nothing but a stain. Now to hope the Navy maxes out anything they can do to him.
Ya know what???? I spent (not alot) 4 months in BAGHDAD, getting shot at, having RPG's and rockets fired at me and this POS is gonna sit off shore for six months and play cards.... And his reason's for not deploying are what again?
FREAKIN' COWARD!
Anybody know what helos these guys use for ASW? The Ship's website makes reference to six ASW helos but doesn't say what they are. I'd bet on the Seahawk, but I have no real idea.
Never mind, according to fas.org, the LHD's carry Seahawks for ASW.
I think that's a dandy idea. This guy didn't refuse to go to Grenada and fight Cubans (not that there was anything illegitimate about that) or refuse to go to Somalia and pass out food, he refused to board a ship serving in a war that resulted from a direct attack on civilians on our soil, and did so because we had the temerity to (Leftists listen very carefully to this next part) to attack the country that attacked us.
One fair trial, one yardarm, one rope...sounds good to me.
I was on the Peleliu 1991-1995.
Really?!
1st division, Deck Dept.
Under Chief Gomez.
No, I've seen this type before, and they aren't surpised there's combat, they become suspicious of the military after they find out the military isn't filled with Hawkeye Pierce clones. One of the biggest appeasenik activists in the Rockford, IL area is the Boomer generation version of this guy: "I joined the military, but when I found out they actually are glad they killed evil oppressors, I couldn't believe it, so I ran home to mommy and became a tool for the enemies of the Republic. Waaaaahhhhhhhh!!!"
The Boomer guy I mentioned says he went over to Vietnam to fight Communism and served as a medic because the Army thought he had aptitude in that area, and he was shocked, SHOCKED, to find out that war involves young men dying and being badly injured, and was further shocked, SHOCKED, to find out that American soldiers might be glad they put a few rapists and killers on the KIA list. Now he works for one of the Methodist denominations as a full time Leftist "peace" activist, and tells eveyone that vietnam was a "corporate war." Yeah, tell that to the folks in the mass graves in Hue, the North Vietnamese re-education camps and the killing fields of Cambodia.
Wuss.
Thanks for serving.
A Navy spokesman said Paredes, 23, wasn't taken into custody because he hadn't violated any regulations. Navy procedures stipulate that an officer [guess the media twit doesn't know they mean NCO's too] can't be listed as missing until an official roll has been called aboard ship. ...Paredes believes he wasn't detained because of the media presence.
Yeah, sure dumbass. Marines are afraid of cameras. What a twit. Yeah,
I heard he's from Arkansas.
I listen to him in Houston at 7:00pm...
It was for not for no reason that the Royal Navy ruled the seas for 200 years.
When I was in the USN there were always losers like this. Unfortunately, now they get media attention. I don't have to hear the interview to know that this guy is probably a semi-literate dirtbag.
First - heartfelt thanks for your service. And I agree with your conclusion about this POS.
Has anyone identified the URL on the back of this turd's t-shirt?
