Christianophobia actually translates into fear of Christians in Greek. The more correct term would be Christianomisos. Miso means hatred as used in the word misogyny.

I endorse Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger's position to the fullest for all it's worth.

The US Congress - if not held by the balls by the Saudis like I assume they are - should pass such a resolution.

"Christianophobia" as an evil equal to that of anti-Semitism or "Islamophobia".

Isn't a phobia an irrational fear?

The Vatican is pressing the United Nations to recognise "Christianophobia"

No question that the masonic hatred of Catholicism remains in a PC world, and is nourished and fed by the same PC hatred. But it extends to the Vatican, as well, in these times. The only people not really welcome in Rome - are CATHOLICS! at least those who take Catholicism seriously, and love and fear Our Lord.

The thing that comes to my mind is that this is an exemplar of pathetic whining, particularly by running to the dysfunctional UN. Part of my annoyance, is that the complaint is non specific. Just exactly what is be suggested to be done about what? Maybe if the Vatican worried less about special pleading, and more about denouncing evil whereever it manifested itself, despite what it perceives as its provincial interests, it might interest me some more.

Christianophobia comes awfully close to the long used Christophobia. This term was first introduced by an American talk show host. I wonder if anyone besides me knows who the originator of this term is and why he doesn't receive credit.

Incredible waste of time. The UN is the most anti-semitic group in the world, and they have resolutions against it, what good is another resolution? The UN resolutions mean nothing to nobody, even themselves.
