This is an "older building" don't know the age at this time.
Last year, the Cook County Building fire took place and I think 6 or 9 people died.

There were NO sprinklers in that building at the time.
I think the law allows some buildings to exist with no sprinklers in this City.

Since the Cook County building fire, ALL buildings in Chicago have been required to provide electronic blue prints to the CFD so they can properly map each floor and when people call in, what the exact locations are...

True---

The only exceptions are schools (because of the Our Lady of the Angels ("OLA") fire of 1 December 1958.

All schools had to be retrofitted--no matter if they had been previously Grandfathered.
