But then, I am an absolute sucker for the sea. It's a good thing I live close to it. I think I'd go crackers if I had to be away from the salt air, sunsets on the Pacific, sea breezes, ships blowing their fog horns, the ocean's rhythms and how they speak to the cycles of life (to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens), the feeling of great expanse and freedom imparted when viewing the massive, incomprehensibly massive, waters ... ah, the sea!
Gretchen, I know what you mean. I live in the beach cities (South Bay) area of Los Angeles County. There is something about the Pacific that is so compelling to me. I just couldn't think of living anywhere other than near the Pacific.
I was born and raised in the NYC metro area, and have to say the Atlantic does not have the same power over me as does the Pacific.

Strangest thing! I just realized that you and I are related. I'm your Great Aunt Tillie from up near the Canadian border. You remember me, don't you? I used to give you those cute little dolls made out of pine cones and maple twirlers. So...when can I move in with you?
