You bring up a valid point concerning Rep. Hunter's son who has done two tours in Iraq. He thinks we need the clear chain of command for our military intelligence matters when it comes to satellites. It's the reason the Representative has pushed so hard for it after talking with his son, and I'm grateful to Rep. Hunter for helping to protect the military and his son, but what about our sons and daughters here at home? We have very porous borders, and you can bet the terrorists know this fact. The terrorists had 63 valid drivers licenses they used to evade detection. Without the drivers license provision we are as vulnerable as ever here at home. Does anyone in Congress care besides a few like Sensenbrenner? How many terrorists are part of the million people who come here illegally each year?

I often wonder what good is Bush.

Bush has certainly protected our soil and our oil supplies from radical Islam but he has, at the same time, openly assisted Mexico in the destruction of state government solvency and standards of living in the southwest.

It is high time that conservatives understood the peril that Bush represents as he fosters illegal immigration. I can understand his willingness to screw California but I can't forgive him as he damages the lives of conservatives who still reside in the state.

The 911 Commission was supposed to look into how 911 happened and why. The Chairman then stated at the very beginning that they were NOT going to "asign blame".

The Commission was not formed to dictate military and national security organization.

Nor were sreaming widows of 911 supposed to dictate how we structure our national security.

It is outrageous that Bush is accepting the Commission's report.

S.2845 National Intelligence Reform Act of 2004 (Public Print)

SEC. 1027. DRIVER'S LICENSES AND PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION CARDS.

(3) CONTENT OF REGULATIONS- The regulations required by paragraph (2)--

(A) shall facilitate communication between the chief driver licensing official of a State, an appropriate official of a Federal agency and other relevant officials, to verify the authenticity of documents, as appropriate, issued by such Federal agency or entity and presented to prove the identity of an individual;

(B) may not infringe on a State's power to set criteria concerning what categories of individuals are eligible to obtain a driver's license or personal identification card from that State;

(C) may not require a State to comply with any such regulation that conflicts with or otherwise interferes with the full enforcement of State criteria concerning the categories of individuals that are eligible to obtain a driver's license or personal identification card from that State;

(D) may not require a single design to which driver's licenses or personal identification cards issued by all States must conform; and

(E) shall include procedures and requirements to protect the privacy and civil and due process rights of individuals who apply for and hold driver's licenses and personal identification cards.
