My belief is that there is no point in looking for the pot of gold at the end of the Asian rainbow. Feminist attitudes in American women are usually superficial, driven by bad personal experiences and media propaganda. If he knows how to get past her barriers and speak to the woman inside, a man can transform even the bitterest shrew into a loyal, loving companion (barring mental illness on her part, of course). And likewise, even the best foreign woman can turn out to be much less than she appears to be for a man who doesn't live up to his obligations.

Avoiding American women and looking for wives overseas is like riding a bicycle with training wheels. Their different upbringing may make the initial stages of the courtship and marriage easier for a man who doesn't know what he is doing, but the relationship will eventually fail badly if he doesn't start advancing and growing himself - because she will rapidly adapt to American life and start holding him to the same standards American women would.

American men should stop looking for shortcuts. There really aren't any. ;)

But why waste time on a reclamation project in the first place. If one intends to expend that much energy, you're better off starting with someone who carries less baggage.
