I figured from the headline that he decided to go "straight."

If Elton had popped off, I would have welcomed it and I don't think W would cared either....just a reminder of the uncivility of the left. Let's give them even more opportunities...there's an election just 23 months away.
Any connection in your screen name TC, to Elton John?

I heard Robert Downey Jr was the only one to make a bad political statement.

Sir Elton was one of six entertainment legends to be honoured for their lifetime's contribution to American culture at the 27th Annual Kennedy Center Awards. ?!?!?!

I heard his quotes this morning. He was extremely complimentary of Bush and remarked he was very impressed by him. (I think he may have a schoolgirl crush)

Oh, Elton is just having another bad day with menopause. His hemmorhoids are probably giving him a bad time....

"...for their lifetime's contribution to American culture..." I'm wondering what IS their contribution to American culture?

Dubya always is the adult, always is the gracious one. The others make fools and jackasses out of themselves, and he outclasses them every time.

The two-faced, lying, smarmy fa**ot doesn't even have the courage of his convictions.
GWB showed him up as the fool he is. Show him a shiny bauble with his name on it and he falls right in line.
There's a good by Reg. Sit up. Beg for your kibble now.

If Elton had popped off, I would have welcomed it and I don't think W would cared either.... He just would have popped him in the face right back.

Unlike the Democrats, he is prepared to cut those who disagree with him some slack, and try to turn them around.
This makes him more effective as a president, although some may perceive this as wavering and timidity.

Exactly. I wish I had even half of the class, patience and maturity of President Bush.
