Ebony is a dark grained wood. When properly fashioned and polished it makes an excellent flute or recorder. Musicians who play this instrument are practicing Ebonics.

BTW took three years of Latin. It's not a dead language. Just read the dictionary and you'll find all it's children. While "Deutch ist die muttersprach von English.", Latin plays a role as well. If we are to reverse the "dumbing down" syndrome then classical language training will be a mighty positive.
